Conference Champions
The Neuqua Valley High School boys soccer program had another outstanding season in
2005. Once again we had five levels, freshman A and B, sophomore, junior varsity, and
varsity with over a hundred student athletes participating. The program compiled an
impressive overall record of 81 wins 16 losses and 6 ties.
The Freshman B team, 10-6-3 (2-1-1), competed in the Rockford Harlem
Tournament which was an A tournament and the Wildcat Soccer Freshman B Tournament. They
finished third in in the Rockfort tournament and second in the Wildcat Tournament.
The Freshman A team, 16-1-1 (7-0-1) This year's team won the Neuqua
Valley Invitational Tournament. They were also champions of the Upstate Eight Conference.
The Sophomore team finished a very strong season with a record of 19-2-0
(10-1-0) We were the champions of the Upstate Eight Conference and the Neuqua Valley
Soccer Tournament.
The Junior Varsity team, 17-3-0 (7-1-0) won the Rockford Hononegah JV
Tournament and were champions of the Upstate Eight Conference.
The Varsity team finished with a record of 19-4-2 (8-1-1), We won the
Best of the West Tournament for the second time ever by beating Waubonsie Valley 2 - 1 in
penalty kicks in the final. We were once again the champions of the Upstate Eight
Conference and also finished runner up in the Quincy Invitational Soccer Tournament. In
the state tournament we won the IHSA Regional and lost to Waubonsie Valley 2 - 1 in the
Sectional Semifinals.
