Neuqua had two boys soccer teams in 1997, a freshman team and a
sophomore team. The sophomores were coached by Doug Ross and the
Freshman coaches were Dawn Maramba and Katie Conneen.
The freshman finished the season with a overall record of 14 – 3 – 1
and a conference record of 7 – 2.
The sophomore team finished the season with a 16- 5- 3 overall record
and a conference record of 4-3-2. Highlights of the sophomore team
included the first tournament championship for boys soccer. They won the
Elgin Soccer Tournament and also not only competed in the Bartlett
Junior Varsity Tournament but won it as well.
